“And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.”
Psalms 90:17

Randomness:
I am grateful for work.
The kind of work that is defined as: "to exert oneself physically or mentally especially in sustained effort for a purpose".
My job is not my "work". Although I do work there.
My job is something that allows me to "work" at the things I enjoy doing, after I clock out for the day.
***
I sit in an office for six point five hours a day, keeping the corporate cogs turning smoothly.
Then I head home to do the REAL work.
***
This work is not for everyone.
Getting up before the sun and still going strong long after it sets.
But it is rewarding work.
Caring for livestock, growing your own food, and caring for your family.
Building and creating.
Giving and sharing.
Something about it brings peace, contentment and a feeling of satisfaction to my tired soul.

Complete Randomness:
I am a person who likes order.
But the rest of my family seems to get some warped enjoyment out of surrounding me with all of their chaos.
I've tried the "if you can't beat them, join them" method. Which makes my OCD twitch.
And I've tried corralling the chaos to certain areas. Which drives me a little crazy as well.
So I've been hitting the chaos hard these past few months, and I am beginning to see a little progress.
I just need to keep my head down, stay focused, and keep pushing onward.
There is much to do.
Probably more than my lifetime will allow.
But all I know to do is endure and keep moving onward.
Life would be dull without some level of chaos to clean up.
Right?!
**************
But back to my initial thought . . .
I AM grateful for the ability to work.
To lift heavy things.
To move forward with God's strength.
And I'm glad God gave me the ability to see beauty in mundane things.
